Kentucky Creative Press Submission Guideline

Authors should submit the following via email to info@kycgallery.com. Email subject should read: Writing Submission from (Your Name) (Title of Submission). Example: Writing Submission - John Doe - The Art of Appalachia

Guidelines:

In the body of the email:

Paragraph One - Introduction: Include the title and category of your work (i.e. fiction or non-fiction and topic) an estimated work count of the entire work and a brief, general introduction of yourself. KYC seeks out works of quality literary adult fiction specifically but will generally consider works in all genres, and even those lacking the ability to be placed in a particular genre.

Paragraph Two - Brief Overview (this is where you hook us, make us want to read it!) This should be similar to what you read on the back of a book.

Paragraph Three - Creator’s Bio: Tell us about yourself in detail and your background.

Sending Your Work - If your work falls into the following categories: adult fiction, adult memoir, adult non-fiction essay collection, or children’s fiction or nonfiction, please include the FIRST 10 PAGES only. If your book is illustrated please include a link to your portfolio and/or sample art within the body of the email.

Tips:

        - Please do not submit a full length manuscript until requested. Keep it to the first 10 pages.

        - Let us know if the work is currently under consideration from any other agent or publisher.

        - Please only send 1 query per manuscript, if you do not receive a request for further material within 4-8 weeks you can consider that a no from KYCPress, If we are delayed after this timeframe we will reach out to you with that information.

We only accept submissions digitally and via email. These should be emailed, following the above guidelines, to info@kycgallery.com. We do not accept or respond to phone, paper or social media queries. To learn more about us and our team please visit our website (insert website)

Please note that if we are interested in seeing further material we normally respond within 4-8 weeks. However, the process may take longer depending on the volume of submissions we have at that particular time. 

Please do not call to check on the status of your submission - If you have a question or concern with regard to your submission, email is the only way we will respond to those questions or concerns.
